神话文学的翻译形象解读——以《聊斋志异》英译为例

Selected Tales of Liaozhai indicates both a microcosm of Chinese ancient mythology and deformation image characterized by world myth. It represents four characteristics of image building in mythical literature, i.e. socialized contents, personalized characters, constructed plot and deritualized story. In its English translation, translators＇ interpretation of the image of mythical literature is further prominent and is revealed in three aspects. Translators pay more attention to the connotation and interpretation of the basic concepts and give explanation and expression according to the contexts. The original images, cultural details and character backgrounds are explained in annotation to achieve the interpretation function. It＇s important to describe the core images of female fox-fairy in the translation.%《聊斋志异》既有中国上古神话的缩影，也有世界神话性质的形象变形。它体现了神话文学形象塑造的四个特点：内容的社会化、人物的性格化、故事的情节化和去仪式化。在《聊斋志异》英译过程中，译者对神话文学的形象解读进一步凸显，表现在三个方面：一是概念化，即在根本概念上注意词源内涵和解释说明，并根据不同的语境来选择不同的解说和表述；二是显化默认值，即对原文中出现的原典形象、文化细节和人物背景作出注释，以实现其阐释功能；三是突出核心意象，即塑造狐仙形象是《聊斋志异》翻译的重要环节。
