翻译语境描写:从翻译理论到翻译教学

     

摘要

Although there is a multitude of research paradigms in the field of translation studies, it is infeasible to formulate a coherent explanation for the process of translator’ s decision-making. This is the problem getting in the way of translation teaching and applied translation studies. The description of trans-lation theories by categorizing translation can reconstruct translation context which can influence, restrict and form translation decisions. Thus, the insight into translators’ decisions in translation process can be gained. The mode of description-translation can reveal the structure of translation context and is benefi-cial to translation teaching practice.%尽管目前多元翻译理论范式共存,同时新的范式又不断产生,但仍未能对翻译决策过程作连贯解释。这是翻译教学乃至应用翻译研究领域所面临的问题。采用“边看边思”的范畴化方法描写翻译理论,可重构影响、制约和促成翻译决策过程的分层次翻译语境,从而实现从外部探究译者翻译决策过程的目的。解释性模式能明示翻译语境结构和功能的描写,具有一定的指导翻译教学实践的意义。
