摘要

The purpose of this research was to develop EFL presentation skills by using the communicative approach for university students according to five components; preparation, organisation, content, presentation and oral skill. Research samples were 29 first-year students derived through a simple random sampling technique in the second semester of the 2017 academic year. The instruments used in this experiment included; a presentation evaluation form and a journal log of students' presentation performance. The experimental process and data collection were conducted as follows: The subjects were lectured in a series of presentation pedagogy to develop the presentation skills of the students. Then, a presentation of their choice was undertaken to assess the five components of the presentation criteria. A journal log was used for each student and a score given at the end of the class. The research result found that the overall presentation ability of the university students was at a moderate level.
