语用等效与戏剧文本中成语的英译--以《茶馆》英译本为例

摘要

In the translation of idioms in drama,translators should consider the rich cultural meaning and the characteristics of drama,namely performability,terseness and individuality. Pragmatic equivalence emphasizes that the pragmatic meaning of the text should be conveyed to the reveiver of the target language according to different context,which will give similar effect to the receiver of both original and target language. This paper,taking Teahouse as an example,explored the translation of Chinese idioms in this work,and analyzed the advantages of pragmatic equivalence in translating drama.%对戏剧文本中成语进行翻译不仅要考虑成语字面意义下蕴含的丰富的文化内涵，还要考虑戏剧语言可表演性、精炼和个性化等特点。语用等效强调翻译应该根据不同的语境，将原文的语用意义充分传递给译文接受者，使作品在译文接受者和原文接受者身上产生大致相同的效果。本文以《茶馆》英译本为例，对这部作品中的成语翻译进行了探讨，分析了在戏剧文本翻译中应用语用等效原则的优势。
