通过问卷和访谈，调查了高职类学生的英语阅读现状，对学生的英语阅读兴趣、阅读技巧使用、阅读自主性进行定量分析。发现了学生在英语阅读方面存在自信心不足、阅读技巧使用频率不高、自主阅读意识不足等问题，并就课堂阅读教学和课外阅读两方面提出了建议来解决问题。%Through the questionnaire and interviews ,we investigate the current situation of vocational stu-dents’ English reading ,and analyze the data on three aspects :students’ reading interest ,reading skills ,and read-ing initiative .There are three problems among students .They lack self -confidence ,they can’t use reading skills flexibly ,and they have little initiative of independent reading .Trying to solve the problems ,we make a great effort on two aspects of class reading teaching and extracurricular reading .
