Статтю присвячено дослідженню структурних характеристик термінів у галузі енергозбереження французькоїudмови та їхньому відтворенню в українському перекладі. За кількісним критерієм виділено однокомпонентні, двокомпонентні, трикомпонентні та багатокомпонентні терміни. Встановлено, що складні терміни-словосполучення можутьudутворювати слова спеціальної і /або загальновживаної лексики. Структурний аналіз показав, що найуживанішими кон-udструкціями є терміни-словосполучення типу N. + Adj., N+Adj.+Adj., N+N+Adj. Перекладу галузевих термінів характер-udні: зміна порядку слів, конверсія, конкретизація, генералізація, транскодування, додавання, комплексне перетворення.ud(The article is devoted to the structural characteristics of French terms in the field of energy saving and their reproduction in Ukrainian translation. The relevance of the study of this phenomenon is determined by the fact that terminology is a powerful source of replenishment of the vocabulary, the volume of the lexical fund is steadily increasing, especially in new areas, one of which is energy saving. The study materials are based on the terms of energy saving with the sampling from the dictionaries.udBy the quantitative criterion there were singled out one-component, two-component, three-component and multicomponentudstructures. The components of terms which are word combinations can belong to different fields of knowledge: words in common usage and/or a special/technical term and only the combination of these words form the term. Structural analysis showed that the most common phrases type structures are N.+Adj., N+Adj.+Adj., N+N+Adj. The French term structure is generally transferred in the Ukrainian language by an equivalent, semantically and numerically, construction. However, numerous are the cases where the target language structures differ by the quantitative criterion of components in the direction of theirudincrease. The translation of terms in the branch of energy saving is characterized by: changing of the order of words, conversion, concretization, generalization, transcoding, addition, complex transformation. Analysis of terms according to the grammatical categories of number and gender shows many differences in Ukrainian translation.)
