《浮生六记》林译本的显化及其翻译策略

摘要

As an indispensible phenomenon in translation, explication provides new perspectives to trans-lation studies.By employing qualitatively-based case analysis accompanied by some supplementary quantita-tive explanations, this paper probes into the explication and its translation strategies in Six Chapters of a Float-ing Life Translated by Lin Yu-tang, aiming to prove the adoption of explication in Lin’ s translation and ana-lyze the translation strategies adopted by Lin.The study finds out that in dealing with the explication of lan-guage coherence and cohesion, Lin chooses to add corresponding conjunctions.In handling the explication of the cultural connotations beyond words, however, Lin tends to paraphrase them.%显化是翻译过程中不可避免的现象。用定性的个案分析方法辅以一定的定量阐释，对林语堂《浮生六记》英译本中语言的衔接形式、文化意义、翻译策略进行探讨，该译本中显化现象是明显的。对于语言衔接形式的显化，林语堂采取了增译的翻译策略；而对于文化意义显化的翻译处理，林语堂则主要采用了变通加释义的传统翻译策略，以方便目的语读者理解原文的风格与含义。
