文化育人视阈下的提示性校园公示语及其英译--以苏州工业职业技术学院为例

         

摘要

工科类高职院校的校园公示语及其英译,其语用功能在于给公众以提示性或指示性的信息,同时又凸显工科特色和高职教育的特性,最终以文化人、以文育人、育文化人。文章以苏州工业职业技术学院为例,从校园文化、地域文化、企业文化三个维度来探究提示性的校园公示语及其英译,追溯其文化渊源、凝练其规约、阐释其人文情怀,以助推工科类高职院校的校园文化育人,并在更深层次和更高意义上实现校地文化和校企文化的协同育人。%Polytechnic institutes also carry their campus signs & their English translations. Their primary pur-pose is only to direct or suggest the necessary and sufficient information. The campus signs are characteristic of Polytechnic institutes as well as higher vocational education. They aim at talents’cultivation through cul ture. Suzhou Vocational Institute of Industrial Technology (SIIT) ,tries every possible means to cultivate the needed talents through campus culture. Also, local culture is being merged into campus culture. Among it are so many campus roads & buildings are named after so famous historical Suzhouees as WEI Ying-wu, FAN Zhong-yan, FAN Cheng-da & so on. Through college-enterprise cooperation especially such enter-prise colleges as SIS, the culture of cooperative enterprises is made the best use of in talents’cultivation. It is the concerted efforts from campus culture , local culture & enterprise culture that really promotes talents ’cultivation.
