This paper addresses the relation between figures of speech in Chinese and associative thinking. It discusses the following issues:synonymy, antonym, polysemy, words with the same morpheme, separable words, idioms and association, modality, function words or linking words and association. The top priority is given to explore the relation between sentence-making and association and its application. It is argued that the production of all the words is related to association and that sentence-making needs association all the more. Thus it is supposed to master and practice association to improve associative ability.% 本文研究汉语修辞与联想思维的关系。分别讨论了下述问题:信息表述时的遣词造句与联想思维;同义、反义、多义、同素、离合词、熟语与联想的关系及其应用;语气词、虚词或连接词与联想的关系及其利用;重点探讨了遣词造句与联想的关系及其利用。认为各种语词的产生与联想有关,造句更须联想。故应熟悉和锻炼联想,提高联想能力。
