    • 摘要: BACKGROUND Understanding how patients choose a provider may improve the overall experience by identifying ways to tailor a clinical practice.AIM To identify factors that patients consider important when choosing an orthopedic oncologist.METHODS New patients presenting to an orthopedic oncology clinic within a tertiary academic medical center from January 2019 to August 2020 were invited to complete an anonymous survey.The questionnaire consisted of 27 items including a Likert-type assessment of the importance of selection factors.RESULTS A total of 101 new patients with a median age of 66 years(range,14 years to 91 years)responded.Most were referred by another doctor(n=63,62.4%),and of the referring providers,the most frequent specialty was orthopedic surgery(n=32,51%).Using a Likert-type scale with 1 representing‘least important’and 5 representing‘most important’,the most important factor was the hospital reputation(mean,4.65;SD,0.85).Additional factors of importance were the number of years in practice(3.87±1.3)and a primary care provider referral(3.71±1.6).Patients younger than 40 years old found social media(P=0.016)and internet presence(P=0.035)of their surgeon to be more important than older patients.In contrast,older patients considered care within an academic center to be of greater importance than younger patients(P=0.014).CONCLUSION This investigation suggests a primary care referral,as well as hospital and physician reputation,are among the most important factors when selecting an orthopedic oncologist.Furthermore,social media utilization appears to be more important for younger patients.

    • 摘要: In order to achieve ideal prevention and treatment effect of maize sheath blight,24%Jinggangmycin A+0.5%adjuvant,24%Jinggangmycin A,Bacillus subtilis and Jinggangmycin+B.subtilis were selected.Each agent was prepared into a 500 times dilution,and the control effect was tested by two times of spray application.The results showed that the disease index of maize sheath blight could be reduced by all the treatments,which were significantly different from that of the control group,but the differences between the treatments were not significant.Jinggangmycin+B.subtilis and B.subtilis had the best control effects.Therefore,their use for preventing maize sheath blight could reduce chemical residues of maize,and avoid environmental pollution.

    • 摘要: Component-based software development is rapidly introducing numerous new paradigms and possibilities to deliver highly customized software in a distributed environment.Among other communication,teamwork,and coordination problems in global software development,the detection of faults is seen as the key challenge.Thus,there is a need to ensure the reliability of component-based applications requirements.Distributed device detection faults applied to tracked components from various sources and failed to keep track of all the large number of components from different locations.In this study,we propose an approach for fault detection from componentbased systems requirements using the fuzzy logic approach and historical information during acceptance testing.This approach identified error-prone components selection for test case extraction and for prioritization of test cases to validate components in acceptance testing.For the evaluation,we used empirical study,and results depicted that the proposed approach significantly outperforms in component selection and acceptance testing.The comparison to the conventional procedures,i.e.,requirement criteria,and communication coverage criteria without irrelevancy and redundancy successfully outperform other procedures.Consequently,the F-measures of the proposed approach define the accurate selection of components,and faults identification increases in components using the proposed approach were higher(i.e.,more than 80 percent)than requirement criteria,and code coverage criteria procedures(i.e.,less than 80 percent),respectively.Similarly,the rate of fault detection in the proposed approach increases,i.e.,92.80 compared to existing methods i.e.,less than 80 percent.The proposed approach will provide a comprehensive guideline and roadmap for practitioners and researchers.

    • 摘要: With the advantages of cloud computing gradually highlighted, users increasingly want to deploy their applications and services on the cloud to reduce costs and obtain high computing capacity. Nowadays, cloud providers (e.g., Amazon, Microsoft) at home and abroad provide a large amount of cloud instance types optimised to fit different use cases, such as compute optimised and memory optimised. Due to the potentially large quantity of cloud instance types in the public cloud market, it is often a challenge for users to select an optimal set of cloud instance types subject to limited resource capacity. In this paper, a dynamic programming-based approach is proposed for cloud instance type selection, which can provide optimal combination of cloud instance types to users. Experiments are performed based on real-world cloud information to evaluate the proposed method.

    • 摘要: The efforts in this study are made to demonstrate how an EFL teacher should develop and adapt the ESP reading materials to meet their English majors’needs and the social contexts where the learners are going to work.Based on a study of literature about material development and a case analysis of the teaching situation and students’profile,five criteria are proposed for selecting and adapting materials suitable for 3rd-year Hainan University English majors,and then an evaluation of the reading texts of the course book English for Tourism and Hospitality is made with these yardsticks.In view of the discussion and analysis,suggestions about ESP reading material development are put forth.

    • 摘要: Genetic parameters were evaluated for growth and cone characteristics(tree height,diameter at breast height,volume,cone number,thousand seeds weight and single cone seeds weight)on 86 half-sib families of Pinus koraiensis aged 31 years.Analyses of variance revealed significant differences(p<0.001)in all growth and cone traits among families while no significant differences were detected among blocks and the interaction between blocks and families.The average family values for growth traits were 17.22 m,8.67 cm and 0.43 m^(3) for tree height,diameter at breast height and volume,respectively.The average cone number,thousand seeds weight and single cone seeds weight were 17.57,748.91 g and 77.25 g,respectively.Genotypic additive variance and phenotypic variances ranged from 0.00009 to 3.820 and from 0.0005 to 23.066,while genotypic and phenotypic coefficients of variation ranged from 2.693%to 37.196%and 4.963%to 60.595%,respectively.Heritability at the individual and family level ranged from 0.152 to 0.215 and 0.611 to 0.862,respectively.Growth traits were significantly positively correlated with each other,but cone traits showed a weak correlation with growth traits.Based on 10% selection rate,nine families each were selected as elite materials in terms of high performance in volume and cone numbers,with 22.16%and 43.82%genetic gain in volume and cone number,respectively.These results provide beneficial information to select excellent families and establish orchards of P.koraiensis from improved seeds.

    • 摘要: There was no research regarding selection criteria for the economically relevant dairy cattle objective traits in Ethiopia. Therefore, the goal of this paper was to determine the selection criteria for Holstein Friesian and crossbreed dairy cattle economically relevant traits. The research was based on 236 respondents of large, medium and small scale dairy farms from Dire-Dawa, Harar, Bishoftu, Holeta agricultural research center and Mekele. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis software and traits preferences were ranked by calculating index values with the principle of weighted average. For Holstein Friesian preducers, the most preferred breeds were pure Holstein Friesian, Holstein Friesian crossbreeds and local cattle breeds with an overall index value of 0.47, 0.36, and 0.13, respectively. Similarly for crossbreed producers, pure Holstein Friesian (0.46), Holstein Friesian crossbreed (0.37) and local cattle (0.15), respectively, were their main breed preferred. In the present study, both Holstein Friesian and crossbreed producers were used milk yield (0.61, and 0.64) and milk yield composition (0.39, and 0.34), as the main preferred selection criteria for milk composition, respectively. On the other situations, age at first calving (0.45, and 0.39), age at first service (0.38, and 0.37), and service per conception (0.08, and 0.17), were the preferred selection criteria for economically relevant reproduction traits both for Holstein Friesian and crossbreed, respectively.

    • 摘要: The paper searched for raw data about wild-caught fish, where a sigmoidal growth function described the mass growth significantly better than non-sigmoidal functions. Specifically, von Bertalanffy’s sigmoidal growth function (metabolic exponent-pair a = 2/3, b = 1) was compared with unbounded linear growth and with bounded exponential growth using the Akaike information criterion. Thereby the maximum likelihood fits were compared, assuming a lognormal distribution of mass (i.e. a higher variance for heavier animals). Starting from 70+ size-at-age data, the paper focused on 15 data coming from large datasets. Of them, six data with 400 - 20,000 data-points were suitable for sigmoidal growth modeling. For these, a custom-made optimization tool identified the best fitting growth function from the general von Bertalanffy-Pütter class of models. This class generalizes the well-known models of Verhulst (logistic growth), Gompertz and von Bertalanffy. Whereas the best-fitting models varied widely, their exponent-pairs displayed a remarkable pattern, as their difference was close to 1/3 (example: von Bertalanffy exponent-pair). This defined a new class of models, for which the paper provided a biological motivation that relates growth to food consumption.
