    • 摘要: In order to use the framework of general system theory(GST)to unify the three mechanics subjects of classical mechanics,quantum mechanics,and relativistic mechanics,a new general system theory(NGST)is developed based on a new ontology of ether and minds as the fundamental existences in the world.Based on this new ontology,many fundamental concepts have been detected to be ambiguously defined nowadays and particularly lack of ontological support.In our previous work,some of the fundamental concepts such as universe,world,time,space,matter,ether,mind,life,field,force have been redefined.The purpose of this paper is to clarify the concepts of energy,heat,work,entropy,and information in our NGST.This is an important and necessary step in the development of the NGST.

    • 摘要: The paper presents the construction of a steel footbridge in the People’s Park in Lublin.The initiation and development of the architectural design of an interesting and,as it eventually turned out,aesthetically pleasing footbridge is discussed.Two teams of architects and bridge engineers worked in parallel on the design.The design process of the footbridge structure is discussed along with its trial installation and on-site construction.The span of the footbridge is short,but its structure is innovative.For this reason its numerical model was developed used as a basis for an analysis of the dynamic response of the designed structure.The basic element of the acceptance procedure was constituted by a dynamic test load and an analysis of the pedestrian footbridge user comfort.Last but not least,the final section reviews the aesthetic canons of bridges and focuses on the footbridge in question in this context.A statistical measure of the aesthetic impression induced by a visit to the footbridge was applied resulting in a predictable and obvious final aesthetical assessment.

    • 摘要: It is estimated that only 15 percent of Kenyans have made plans for retirement, and many people fall into poverty once they retire. A 2018 survey by the Unclaimed Property Asset register found that insurance companies hold 25 percent of unclaimed funds with 10 percent belonging to pensioners. This was attributed to a lack of effective information flow between insurance companies and the customers and also between various departments in the insurance companies. Further, there were numerous cases of loss of documents and files and certain files were untraceable in the departments. This paper investigates ways in which mobile technology influences dissemination of information for processing pension claims in the insurance industry. An improvement in dissemination of information for processing of pension claims can carry out a key function in increasing percentage of Kenyans making plans for retirement. The study deployed a descriptive study design. The target population in this study was 561 pensioners in Jubilee Insurance and 8 heads of pensions business, finance, legal services, internal audit, operations, information and communication technology, actuary, business development and strategy and business development departments. The sample size of this study was obtained by use of Krejcie and Morgan formula of determining sample size. As a result of the small number of heads of departments, they were not sampled. Through systematic sampling a sample of 288 pensioners was selected from the list of pensioners in Jubilee Insurance. The findings from the study led to a conclusion that mobile application has a positive and significant association with dissemination of information for pension claims processing in Jubilee Insurance. It was further revealed that text messages have a positive and significant influence on dissemination of information. Concerning unstructured supplementary service data (USSD) it was concluded that it has a positive and significant influence on dissemination of information. The study findings also revealed that voice calls have a positive and significant influence on dissemination of information for pension claims processing in Jubilee Insurance.

    • 摘要: It is important to look at the behaviour of a living system from the point of view of the biophysical paradigm. In fact, the chemical reactions, which allow us to understand how metabolic processes take place, are short-range and they are activated at a distance of one atomic or molecular diameter. 100,000 reactions/sec. take place in a cell, perfectly balanced in space and time, i.e. these happen at the right time and in the right place. So, it is chemically inexplicable how this can be possible, because it is absolutely necessary that molecules recognize each other at distances greater than a molecular diameter. The biophysical paradigm, through coherent resonance mechanisms, tries to explain how molecules can recognize each other “from afar”. It is a matter of beginning to understand that, probably, the same atoms and molecules are endowed with a kind of “intrinsic intelligence” that guides them in their interactions, and the key to understanding can only be of physical type. We can also hypothesize that a cellular information mechanism based on endogenous electromagnetic fields exists. In this way, DNA could play a role of in-out antenna, due to its double helix shape (resonant LC circuit). This paper speaks about these unexpected, but not too many, connections between Physics and Biology.

    • 摘要: The statistical theory of language translation is used to compare how a literary character speaks to different audiences by diversifying two important linguistic communication channels: the “sentences channel” and the “interpunctions channel”. The theory can “measure” how the author shapes a character speaking to different audiences, by modulating deep-language parameters. To show its power, we have applied the theory to the literary corpus of Maria Valtorta, an Italian mystic of the XX-century. The likeness index , ranging from 0 to 1, allows to “measure” how two linguistic channels are similar, therefore implying that a character speaks to different audiences in the same way. A 6-dB difference between the signal-to-noise ratios of two channels already gives IL ≈ 0.5, a threshold below which the two channels depend very little on each other, therefore implying that the character addresses different audiences differently. In conclusion, multiple linguistic channels can describe the “fine tuning” that a literary author uses to diversify characters or distinguish the behavior of the same character in different situations. The theory can be applied to literary corpora written in any alphabetical language.

    • 摘要: Research Purposes: The project is based on the traditional accounting audit platform, on the basis of technical research, to re-create a three-party relationship, widely used data platform. Research Methodology: We use the SQL Server database data storage principle, the original documents and other first-hand information direct electronic storage. Research Results: It will not only increase file sharing and privilege management algorithms, but also prevent first-hand data modification, and the use of more intelligent embedded management of various modules to protect the three parties to exercise their legitimate rights and interests on the platform.

    • 摘要: This study aimed to find out the awareness about the online security threat and understanding of the preventive measures to secure the youths from online risks.For this,a quantitative method was applied and the survey questionnaire was instituted to collect the data randomly from the youths studying in class eleven and higher.A total of 264 youths,147 female and 117 male responded to the survey questionnaire.The data was organized and analyzed using Excel data analysis tool package,interpreted and represented in the form of graphs with some explanations.The awareness about the online security threat was found to be good with 20 percent completely aware and 58 percent aware of it.The knowledge about the two-factor authentication was found to be quite poor.There are 20.4 percent who knows a little and 14.7 percent who do not know anything and 29.5 percent who are not sure about it.The use of cloud encryption,security and protection with firewalls is not so familiar amongst the youth.However,the use of strong passwords for their mobile and other gadgets were mostly applied by the youths.The youths were also found to be concerned with the software and the system in their mobile and other gadgets as they responded that they update it frequently.

    • 摘要: Aims: The purpose of this work is to present the information approach as the only effective tool that allows us to calculate the uncertainty of any result of the study on the use of refrigeration equipment. Methodology: Using the definitions and formulas of information theory and similarity theory, the amount of information contained in a model of refrigeration equipment or process is calculated. This allows us to present formulas for calculating the relative and comparative uncertainties of the model without additional assumptions. Based on these formulas, the value of the inevitable threshold of the accuracy of the representation of the studied construction or process is determined. Results: Theoretically substantiated recommendations are formulated for choosing the most effective methods for analyzing refrigeration equipment are formulated. Conclusion: Having calculated the amount of information contained in the model, we presented practical methods for analyzing data on refrigeration equipment.

    • 摘要: Unmanned weapons have great potential to be widely used in future wars.The gaze-based aiming technology can be applied to control pan-tilt weapon systems remotely with high precision and efficiency.Gaze direction is related to head motion,which is a combination of head and eye movements.In this paper,a head motion detection method is proposed,which is based on the fusion of inertial and vision information.The inertial sensors can measure rotation in high-frequency with good performance,while vision sensors are able to eliminate drifts.By combining the characteristics of both sensors,the proposed approach achieves the effect of highfrequency,real-time,and drift-free head motion detection.The experiments show that our method can smooth the outputs,constrain drifts of inertial measurements,and achieve high detection accuracy.
