摘要

The results of a 3-year study on the effects of television on emotionally disturbed and learning disabled children are presented. Eight separate research projects were designed to contribute to the understanding of (a) how much and what kinds of television programs handicapped children were exposed to, (b) how much they understood about what they saw, and (c) how it affected them. The research is based on observational learning theory, which propose that the way television affects viewers involves a three-stage process of exposure, acquisition, and acceptance.
