浅议《围城》中称谓语的翻译策略

作为文化的载体之一,不同的民族在对称谓语的使用及表达上都有其各自的系统和规则。因此,称谓语的翻译不仅是语码的转换,也是一种文化间的交流。文章首先简单介绍了纽马克的语义翻译和交际翻译理论,然后通过对《围城》人物对话中称谓语的英译进行分析,阐述了中英文化差异对称谓语翻译策略选择的影响,深入探讨了语义翻译和交际翻译在《围城》英译本称谓语翻译中的应用并进一步指出语义翻译和交际翻译的特点及适用范围。%As one of the culture carriers, address terms varies from culture to culture. Thez＇efore, translating address terms is not only a code switching work but also a kind of communication between two cultures. Based on the semantic and communi- cative translation put forward by Newmark, through analyzing the translation of address terms in Fortress Besieged, this paper explains the culture influences on the choice of translation strategies, probes into the application of semantic and communicative translation strategies to the translation of address terms in Fortress Besieged and points out the characteristics and application scope of semantic and communicative translation.
