论杜牧《清明》古诗英译的中国语言文化内蕴

摘要

This paper aims to analyze the linguistic and cultural connotation of Qing Ming, a poetry written by a Chinese ancient poet Du Mu from Post Tang Dynasty. Two English translations will be discussed in which the version translated by Mr Xu Yuan-chong, a world-renown poet, will be presented as the main examples. This paper serves as a reminder for the poetry translators of striking a balance between form and content in poetry translation so as to better their work, even when they come to certain dilemma.%　　选取唐朝诗人杜牧《清明》一诗的英文译本为分析对象，以许渊冲先生的英译本为参照，从语言和文化的角度，讨论杜牧《清明》一诗中的中国语言文化内涵，提出中国古诗的英译，在照顾本国语言文化的同时，始终要记得在诗歌的形式和内容之间做权衡，以找到翻译中的平衡点。
