译者作为翻译主体的身份越来越受到文学界和翻译界的重视，译者的主体性在翻译过程中起到举足轻重的作用，我国著名古典长篇小说《红楼梦》是中国传统文化各方面的真实写照，霍克斯的《红楼梦》英译本中对于各种文化意象的翻译不仅展示了中国传统文化的精髓，也突显了译者主体性的重要性。%Literary circle and translation community attach more and more importance to the role of translator , and the subjec-tivity weighs a lot in the process of translation .The famous Chinese novel Hong Lou Meng is a vivid portrayal of Chinese traditional culture.Hawkes’ English version of cultural translation not only to shows the essence of culture , but also highlights the importance of translator .
