论委婉语翻译中译者的角色——以杨宪益英译《红楼梦》为例

As a language phenomenon and a cultural expression,euphemism always plays a lubricating role in people＇s daily life.Foreignization gives prominence to the translator＇s role in the form,while domestication,though causes ＂the translator＇s invisibility＂ in the form,can also gives prominence to the translator＇s role in terms of the translating process and the content of the translated version.%委婉语,作为一种语言现象和文化现象,它在人际关系中时常充当着＂润滑油＂的角色。异化翻译在形式上使译者的角色彰显出来,而归化翻译尽管在形式上出现了＂译者的隐身＂,但就译文内容和翻译过程而言,译者的角色却都得到了彰显。
