从文化翻译观看习语的翻译

摘要

语言在其发展过程中深深地烙印着社会生活的各个侧面，反映和折射着某一社会的独特文化传统，而习语作为语言中的精华部分，更是承载着丰富的文化内涵。因此在翻译习语时，根据文化翻译观，要想突破语言障碍，实现文化之间很好的交流，则必须充分了解习语蕴含的文化因素。本文将从文化翻译观的异化策略和归化策略两方面探讨对习语翻译中的文化因素的处理，以期能有效传达信息，达到源语和译入语在文化功能上的等值。%Language reflects every level of social life profoundly in its process of development that it can mirror and imply a certain particular tradition of one society. Idiom, which is the essence of one language, holds rich and abundant connotation. Therefore, to break the impediments in language and to achieve a better communication among cultures, we have to have a good master of the cultural factors held in those idioms according to theory of cultural translation. This article analyzes the translation of cultural factors in idioms by using the strategies of domestication and foreignization in the theory of cultural translation in order to exchange information effectively and to achieve equivalence of cultural function between original texts and translated texts.
