摘要

本文旨在探讨以下问题:(1)文理科生对各种语言学习策略的偏爱程度及其变化;(2)文理科生在语言学习策略使用上是否具有显著性差异;(3)不同语言水平的文理科生对各种语言学习策略的偏爱程度及其变化;(4)性别差异是否导致文理科生在语言学习策略使用上具有显著性差异。本研究以天津工业大学为例,选取了文理科生共200名,采用问卷和课堂观察对他们的语言学习策略使用情况进行了调查。
  研究结果表明:(1)文理科生普遍偏爱补偿策略,对该策略的使用频率最高,且在一年的英语学习里并无发生显著性变化。两者对记忆策略的使用频率最低,但是第二学期文科生略有变化,对情感策略的使用频率最低;(2)在两学期的英语学习中,文理科生在社交策略的使用上都存在显著性差异,具体表现为文科生比理科生更加重视使用社交策略,并且随着时间的推移这种显著性差异也在明显扩大。(3)在一年的英语学习里,高、中、低不同语言水平的文理科生普遍偏爱补偿策略,对该策略的使用频率最高。且呈现出以下趋势:语言水平越高,使用策略的种类越多,频率也越高。(4)性别并不导致文理科生在语言学习策略使用上具有显著性差异,这也证实了性别对外语学习策略的影响通常不是直接的,而是间接起作用。但是女生比男生会更频繁地使用更多的学习策略,且随着时间的推移这种趋势会越来越明显。结合研究结果,作者在结论部分对大学英语教学提出意见。
