Particle deposition and removal from Ge wafers

摘要

From particle deposition and removal experiments on Ge, we can conclude that Ge acts in the same way towards particles as Si. This could be expected as Ge and Si have the same i.e.p. An etch depth of 3nm was sufficient for removing 90% of the particle contamination which is in agreement with experiments on Si.
