    • 摘要: Objective:Traditional medicine practices vary widely in keeping with the social and cultural heritage of different communities.Beliefs regarding the causes of diseases are passed on from generation to generation.Descriptions given to various diseases are based on traditional beliefs common to a given community.A number of diseases are defined based on culturally specific conceptions.A disease such as‘Kooko’finds a number of descriptions from different cultures in Ghana.The knowledge of its explanation and meaning is important to help its management.Methods:Qualitative and quantitative self-administered questionnaires were used to collect data.Results:Among the three ethnic groups interviewed for the study,45%defined‘Kooko’with regard to its relationship with growth at the anus.All respondents defined‘Kooko’with respect to its clinical manifestations.The signs and symptoms of‘Kooko’were given as;63.33%bloody stool,60%growth at the anus,40%mucoid stool and 31.66%said constipation.On the causes of‘Kooko’39%of the respondents said diet,33%said aging and 25%attributed it to hereditary.86.66%said‘Kooko’affects only men however,13.34%said women and children had equal chances of being affected.Respondents in the Upper West gave four distinct types of‘Kooko’:dry,deep,external and internal.In the Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions,‘Kooko’was classified based on the site of the body it affects however,most of them stressed on the anus as the common site.Conclusion:‘Kooko’is a syndrome encompassing a wide range of conditions which includes haemorrhoids and other conditions of the body including,the eye.

    • 摘要: Sentiment analysis is one of the most popular research areas in natural language processing.It is extremely useful in many applications,such as social media monitoring and e-commerce.Recent application of deep learning based methods has dramatically changed the research strategies and improved the performance of many traditional sentiment analysis tasks,such as sentiment classification and aspect based sentiment analysis.Moreover,it also pushed the boundary of various sentiment analysis task,including sentiment classification of different text granularities and in different application scenarios,implicit sentiment analysis,multimodal sentiment analysis and generation of sentiment-bearing text.In this paper,we give a brief introduction to the recent advance of the deep learning-based methods in these sentiment analysis tasks,including summarizing the approaches and analyzing the dataset.This survey can be well suited for the researchers studying in this field as well as the researchers entering the field.

    • 摘要: In the past decade or so,AI(artificial intelligence)technology has been growing with such a mesmerizing speed that today its presence in almost any industry that deals with any huge sheer volume of data is taking advantage of AI by integrating it into their day-to-day operation.Meanwhile,seven billion people worldwide shape the world’s energy system and directly impact the fundamental drivers of energy,both renewable and non-renewable sources,to meet the demand for electricity from them.These energy sources can be reached from nature such as solar,wind,etc.,and human-made such as NPPs(nuclear power plants)in the form of either fission as an old technology since the Manhattan project and in the near future as fusion in the form of magnetic or inertial confinements.Meanwhile,AI controlling nuclear reactors are about to happen.The basic idea is to apply AI with its two subset components as ML(machine learning),and DL(deep learning)techniques to go through the mountains of data that come from a reactor,spot patterns in it,and calling them to the unit’s human attention operators is not invadable either.Designers of such nuclear reactors will combine simulation and real-world data,comparing scenarios from each to develop“confidence[in]what they can predict and what is the range of uncertainty of their prediction”.Adding that,in the end,the operator will make the final decisions in order to keep these power plants safe while they are in operation and how to secure them against cyber-attack natural or human-made disasters.In this short communication article,we would like to see how we can prove some of these concepts;then a NPP manufacturer can pick it up and use it in their designs of a new generation of these reactors.

    • 摘要: The generation of stretchable conductors is a mandatory precondition for the next-generation electronic devices ineluding flexible,wearable electronics,smart skins and bioinspired devices [1-4].This new class of electronic materials takes up external mechanical deformations and maintains structural integrity and electronic performance throughout bending,folding and stretching processes.Although intense efforts have been devoted to the construction of stretchable conductors,large stretchability is still difficult to achieve.

    • 摘要: This paper presents a novel approach of obstacle avoidance for redundant manipulators, which is challenging with the considerations of the building of universal kinematics, the formation of dynamics, and the generation of trajectories. A universal approach to deal with obstacle avoidance for the redundant manipulator, that is based on the configuration plane, is presented. The paper also examines common serial robot configurations and introduces a method for classification, partitioning, simplification, and forms of expression used in the workspace to define the configuration plane. This relatively new method is combined with a weighted space vector method to match the configuration plane and solve the inverse kinematics problem. The proposed planner is demonstrated with examples, in which the proposed planner is shown to be capable of providing a smoother trajectory.

    • 摘要: Analysis of high resolution of aeromagnetic data was carried out over Lamurde, Adamawa state north-eastern Nigeria to determine the Curie point depth (CPD), heat flow and geothermal gradient. The aeromagnetic data used for this work was obtained at Nigerian geological survey agency, the total magnetic intensity was processed to produce the residual magnetic map which was divided into 4 overlapping blocks, each block was subjected to spectral analyses to obtain depths to the top boundary and centroid, while depth to bottom of the magnetic sources was calculated using empirical formula. The depths values obtained were then used to assess the CPD, heat flow and geothermal gradient in the area. The result shows that the CPD varies between 9.62 and 10.92 km with an average of 10.45 k, the heat flow varies between 150.73 and 132.78 mWm?20⋅°C?1 with an average of 139.12 mWm?20⋅°C?1 and the geothermal gradient in the study area varies between 12.16 and 15.67 °C/km with an average of 13.39 °C/km. In view of the above results, the high heat flow may be responsible for maturation of hydrocarbon in Benue Trough as well as responsible for the lead Zinc Mineralization. Again by implication, Lamurde area can be a good area for geothermal reservoir exploration for an alternative source for power generation.

    • 摘要: Aiming at the current process of artistic creation and animation creation, there are a lot of repeated manual operations in the process of conversion from sketch to the stylized image. This paper presented a solution based on a deep learning framework to realize image generation and style transfer. The method first used the conditional generation to resist the network, optimizes the loss function of the training mapping relationship, and generated the actual image from the input sketch. Then, by defining and optimizing the perceptual loss function of the style transfer model, the style features are extracted from the image, thereby forming the actual The conversion between images and stylized art images. Experiments show that this method can greatly reduce the work of coloring and converting with different artistic effects, and achieve the purpose of transforming simple stick figures into actual object images.
