A number of cold seeps have been discovered in the northern South China Sea(SCS) including the Haiyang 4 cold-seep area where Core 973-5 was collected. Intact polar lipids(IPLs) and core lipids(CLs) were analyzed separately in sediments from Core 973-5. The most abundant lipid biomarkers were isoprenoidal GDGTs(iso GDGTs), with Crenarchaeol and GDGT-0 predominating. IPL-iso GDGTs and CL-iso GDGTs were mainly derived from Thaumarchaeota. IPL-iso GDGTs were mainly produced and retained in situ thus containing most of the in situ microbiological information. Branched GDGTs were predominantly derived from generated in marine production, and mixed with some terrestrial inputs. All IPLs groups presented a high value in the sulfate-methane transition zone(SMTZ). Furthermore, IPL and CL-MI, IPL-R;showed the highest values within the SMTZ, while IPL and CL-R;had the lowest values at the SMTZ, suggesting that the contribution of Methanophila and methanogenic to GDGTs increased, while the contribution of ammonia-oxidizing Archaea to GDGTs decreased at the SMTZ.

The influence of food and nutrition on health and immunity for both human and animals are being demonstrated. Phytochemicals are natural compounds present in cereals, beans, fruits, vegetable, and other plants, believed to enhance immune response for both human and animals. One of these phytochemicals is β-Glucans that are heterogeneous polysaccharides consisted of branched long chains of D-Glucose units present in cereals such as barley, wheat, and oats, and also present in microbial cell walls for yeasts, fungi, bacteria, and algae. β-Glucans extracted from cereals and mushroom were investigated for their positive impact on immunomodulation for both human and animal health. These β-Glucans proved to enhance immune system for innate response as the first defense against microbial infection, toxins, and self-tumor cells, and also, enhance adaptive immune that also referred to specific immunity as the second defense in response to antigen-specific lymphocytes against microbial infection, toxins, and self-tumor cells.

Plutonites are part of the set of crystallines compose the Precambrian basement. Their study is capital because it allows participating in the debates on the geodynamic evolution of the West African craton. This study concerns granitoids and dioritoids of the North-East of Côte d’Ivoire located in the Man-Leo ridge structured by Eoeburnean magmatism. The petrographic and geochemistry constraints make it possible to say that these rock formations have evolved by the process of fractional crystallization. They have a hybrid origin (mantle and crust), metaluminous to peraluminous highlighted by geochemistry. Concerning the geotectonic context, these plutonites of the Baoulé-Mossi domain are emplacement in a context of subduction more precisely in a context of volcanic arc.

The thermal issue is of great importance during the layout design of heat source components in systems engineering,especially for high functional-density products.Thermal analysis requires complex simulation,which leads to an unaffordable computational burden to layout optimization as it iteratively evaluates different schemes.Surrogate modeling is an effective method for alleviating computation complexity.However,the temperature field prediction(TFP)with complex heat source layout(HSL)input is an ultra-high dimensional nonlinear regression problem,which brings great difficulty to traditional regression models.The deep neural network(DNN)regression method is a feasible way for its good approximation performance.However,it faces great challenges in data preparation for sample diversity and uniformity in the layout space with physical constraints and proper DNN model selection and training for good generality,which necessitates the efforts of layout designers and DNN experts.To advance this cross-domain research,this paper proposes a DNN-based HSL-TFP surrogate modeling task benchmark.With consideration for engineering applicability,sample generation,dataset evaluation,DNN model,and surrogate performance metrics are thoroughly investigated.Experiments are conducted with ten representative state-of-the-art DNN models.A detailed discussion on baseline results is provided,and future prospects are analyzed for DNN-based HSL-TFP tasks.
