A multi-axis industrial robot, in particular a SCARA type robot, is described in which a base structure 16 designed to mount a robot on an external support structure can assume four possible installation schemes. In particular, the base structure 16 includes a body 18 and a plate 20 that supports one or more connectors connected to the connection of the robot and can be coupled to the body at two different locations. The above-mentioned main body 18 further assumes a fixing portion 18C on both its bottom surface and its back surface.
