The present invention relates to a method for peeling a grain with an excellent milling yield and an apparatus for the same, in which only grains, which are not peeled, are recovered to a husker by using a brown rice selecting unit, thereby improving an ability to handle the brown rice, the performance of peeling the brown rice, reducing the damage to the grains, so that a milling yield rate and the quality of the rice are largely improved. According to the present invention, the method for peeling the grains includes: a) peeling rice by using the husker; b) removing the husks of the grains; c) separating the brown rice from the rice and selecting the brown rice; d) primarily selecting the mixture of the brown rice and the rice in terms of color by using a color selector; e) secondarily selecting defective rice, which is primarily selected in terms of color, to the color selector; f) returning the defective rice, which is secondarily color-selected, to the husker and returning brown rice having good quality to the color selector; and g) transferring the brown rice having the good quality, which is primarily and secondarily color-selected, to the subsequent line.
