摘要

Field experiment was conducted at student’s research farm. Department ofAgronomy, P.A.U., Ludhiana for two consecutive years (during kharif season 2013 and 2014) with an objective to study the effect of N levels, Zn application methods and foliar applied Fe on grain yield and quality parameters of rice. The experiment was laid out in split-split plot design with three levels of nitrogen in main plot (N,: 75% of RDN, Nj: 100% of RDN, N,: 125% of RDN), 4 Zn application treatments in sub plot (Zn,: NoZn, Zn^; soil Zn @ 50 kg ZnSO^ ha~(-1), Zn,: foliar Zn @0.5% and Zn_2: soil Zn @ 50 kg ZnSO^ ha‘+foliar Zn @ 0.5%) and 2 Fe treatments (Fe,: No Fe and FCj: foliar Fe @ 0.5%). Foliar sprays of Zn and Fe @ 0.5% were applied at anthesis and milking stagesof the crop. N, level of nitrogen recorded 10.41 per cent and Nj recorded 6.54 per cent higher grain yield over N, level of nitrogeUi respectively. Treatment Zn^ recorded 9.76 per cent and 12.20 per cent higher grain yield over Zn, and Zn,, respectively.Brown rice, white rice and head rice recovery significantly improved with increased doses of N, Zn application methods and foliar Fe. But, the effect of N, Zn and Fe on physical and cooking qualities was nonsignificant in the study.
