To celebrate twenty years since its opening, the Craft and Design Centre commissioned a showcase of 'drinking vessels' from nine British-based ceramists. Jessica Ball, Victoria Bryan, Michael Eden, Morgen Hall, Rebecca Harvey, Walter Keeler, Anna Lambert, Ian Rylatt and Taja Simpson each contributed between two and five pieces to the exhibition. But why these nine makers? What was the remit a broad representation of styles and techniques? Local associations? The considered 'cream' of functional potters?
