I know this because we have already exchanged family photographs as a means of introduction These are our resumes, the stuff of which we are most proud, and this is a warm and' friendly way to jump-start our research collaboration in narrative medicine We are both privileged to be teaching in a "Doctoring" course for first- and second-year medical students that integrates student-generated narratives ("field notes") on a spectrum of topics, including memorable patient encounters.
