This paper presents a new methodology to evaluate loss of loadnindices, with particular emphasis on LOLC (loss of load cost)nassessment, for composite generation and transmission systemsnconsidering time varying loads for different areas or buses. Thenproposed approach, named pseudo-chronological simulation, retains thencomputational efficiency of nonsequential Monte Carlo simulation and thenability to model chronological load curves in sequential simulation. Itnconsiders the actual blocks of unsupplied energy per consumer class, pernbus, and the respective duration, to accurately characterize theninterruption process. Case studies on the IEEE-MRTS (ModifiednReliability Test System) and the BSS (Brazilian South-SoutheasternnSystem) are presented and discussed
