Screen recording software can be used for numerous tasks. It can be used to make instructional videos on how to utilize soft- ware applications or how to register for on- line websites. It can also be used to create narrated presentations or for developing sophisticated interactive learning content. The core function of screen recording software is to record the computer desktop as a user selects menus, moves between ap- plications, visits websites or makes system configurations, and then saves the captured desktop actions as slides or a video file. All mouse movements, menu selections, text entries and launching of applications are recorded.
