摘要

A new fault estimation and fault-tolerant model predictive control (MPC) scheme for a Steer-by-Wire (SbW) system based on a delta operator approach is proposed. A fault detection observer in terms of the linear matrix inequalities is constructed by means of delta operator systems to estimate the fault in the SbW systems. An active fault-tolerant MPC based on a delta operator is designed to compensate for the effect of the actuator faults and to provide the vehicle road wheel steering functions without degradation of the tracking performance in the event of an actuator failure. The validation of the approach through computer simulation shows the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
