传播学视角下的地方政府英文网站语言质量探讨--以广州市政府英文网站为例

摘要

With the development of the network era and the need of shaping and propagating the image of local governments abroad, local governments in China have set up and opened Eng-lish websites one by one. While there is still a great space to im-prove the quality of these websites, especially from aspects of im-proving the accuracy of translation and updating information. The adverse effect which blemishes the image of governments in propagation should be prevented because of the mistakes of translation, spelling and typesetting.%随着网络时代的发展，以及政府对外形象塑造和对外传播的需要，我国各级地方政府陆续开通了地方政府英文网站，然而各地方政府的英文网站建设质量还有待提高，特别是应从网站信息更新的及时性以及语言翻译的准确性等方面着手，避免出现翻译、拼写以及排版等方面的失误而导致网站质量不高，在传播中影响政府形象的不良效应。
