论《献给艾米丽的玫瑰花》中的魔幻现实主义

摘要

A Rose for Emily is one of the most famous short stories among the works of William Faulkner. In this short story, Faulkner employs the strategy of magical realism to express his opinions towards the Southern America. Magic realism is a literary genre flourishing in Latin America in 1950s. However, Faulkner applied some writing technique of magical realism in this short story. Through analyzing the text, the symbolic meaning can be found in the objects like the rose and the monument. Besides, the jumble chronology of events also cast a layer of mystery to this short story.%　　《献给艾米丽的玫瑰花》是美国作家威廉·福克纳短篇小说中最著名的一篇。在这篇小说中，福克纳用到了一些魔幻现实主义的手法来表达他对于美国内战之后南方社会的看法和反思。魔幻现实主义本是二十世纪五十年代拉丁美洲兴盛起来的一种文学流派，然而福克纳却在他的这篇短篇小说中超前运用到一些魔幻现实主义的写作手法。通过文本分析，可以发现小说中的玫瑰花，纪念碑等都具有着象征含义。而跳跃叙述事件的手法也给这个故事蒙上一层神秘的色彩。
