Code-switching is a common linguis-tic phenomenon in University campus. This article through the questionnaire survey analyzed the role of the code-switching from the prespective of ecolinguistics. Namely, code-switching is an important means of promoting the harmonious relationship between students; is the embodiment of the language college campus life diversification; it is the college students to meet the needs of different communication objects;it is the purpose to satisfy special communicative needs;it is the embodiment of the col-lege students' individual character make public;it is the need to adapt to the social environment;it is an effective rhetorical means to improve the effect of language expression.
