“看易写”原则在公示语翻译中的指导作用

摘要

英文公示语日渐融入我们的日常生活，对于提高全民英语的应用水平，营造良好的城市文化软环境，提高城市的国际形象，促进中外文明的交流发挥着重要作用。语言学家，翻译学家等从不同的角度对公示语的汉英翻译进行研究，并取得了一定的成就。本文旨在探讨“看易写”原则在汉英公示语翻译中的重要作用以及实际运用。%English public signs are playing an increasingly important role in improving people’s use of English, creating a good at⁃mosphere of a city’s culture, lifting a city’s international image and promoting cultural communications between China and foreign countries. Linguists and translators have conducted researches into translation of public signs from Chinese into English from differ⁃ent aspects and have gained certain achievements. This paper pays more attention to the importance of the principle of“Reading, Translating and Creating”in translating public signs and points out the application of it in public signs translation.
