Based on the New Curriculum Standard, reading teaching is an important part and improving the middle school students' reading ability is the teaching emphasis. But in actual teaching,improving the students' reading ability is usually affected by two ill factors. For teachers, their way for reading teaching is simplex with isolated grammar teaching and limited cultural knowledge. For students, they have unsubstantial linguistic knowledge, poor reading strategy and cultural knowledge,etc. Therefore, in reading teaching, we should adopt necessary strategies to overcome the effect of the ill factors in order to raise the students' reading ability to the full.%新课标下,阅读教学是中学英语教学的重要内容,提高中学生的阅读能力是教学的重点.然而,在实际教学中,学生阅读能力的提高往往受到师生两个方面不良因素的影响:教师方面表现为单一的阅读教学模式、孤立的语法教学和有限的文化知识水平;学生方面表现为不扎实的语言知识、欠缺的阅读策略和贫乏的文化知识等.因此,在阅读教学中,我们应采取必要的策略来克服不良因素的影响,最大限度地提高学生的阅读能力.
