沈从文往往在看似简单的故事情节中蕴含了深刻的人际交往内涵。《灯》与《虎雏》是沈从文的人际交往观念的大展览。这两篇小说沿袭了沈从文一贯的城乡对峙模式，通过书写来到城市的乡村军人与“我”以及与城市的交往，探讨城与乡不同地域对人的造化和影响，还探讨了人与人之间交往的困境。%Shen Congwen’s novel often, in seemingly simple story, contains a deep interpersonal connotations."Light" and "Tiger underage" are exhibitions of Shen Congwen’s interpersonal concepts. The two novels followed the urban and rural confrontation mode.
