一致式?隐喻式?——语法隐喻指导下的法律文本英译对比分析

摘要

As an important concept of the systematic functional linguistics, grammatical metaphor can be applied to the study of translation. In the translation of legal language from Chinese into English, a choice has to be made between the congruent form of expression and the grammatical form. A comparative study of both forms of expression is made from the perspectives of ideational, interpersonal and textual functions with a view to providing some insights into legal translation and it is concluded that the metaphorical mode of expression is preferable and more suitable in legal translation from Chinese into English.%　　语法隐喻作为系统功能语言学的重要组成部分可用于翻译研究。从语法隐喻角度来看，法律文本英译中的译者可能需要从多种译语表达式如一致式和隐喻式之间做出选择，那么哪种译文更具表达的适宜性呢？试图从概念、人际和语篇功能角度对比分析一致式译文和隐喻式译文，以期为选择合适的译语表达式提供一个标准和依据；同时也通过译文分析来检测功能语言学在法律翻译研究中的指导作用。认为经过隐喻化后的译文更符合立法语言的要求，对隐喻式译文的选择是一种语义选择。
