While doing translation work , translators are likely to enco unter a large amount of words with different meanings which give rise to great difficulties for translators to find equivalents in target language . Then it is necessary for the translators to take into account many factors to make the version and the original text equivalent . Based on the problems occurring in translating The Making of Ashenden , this paper probes into the importance of context reconstruction in ascertaining meaning of words in translation .%人们在翻译过程中往往会遇到大量的多义词，要在译入语中找到与源语对等的词实非易事。此时，就需要译者考虑多方面的因素以便于使译文达到最大程度上的对等。文章就以翻译 The Making of Ashenden 时遇到的问题为基础谈论翻译过程中语境重构对确定词义和翻译的重要性。
