现代性不是一个既定的一成不变的东西，它可以有多种内涵，在本质上具有可选择性。正因为现代性具有可选择性，现代性也才具有了存在的合法性，现代性依然可以是当今社会发展的哲学原则之一。可选择现代性本质上是一个具有辩证发展逻辑的现实存在，其辩证发展逻辑在本质上表现为现代性的差异性和时代性。现代性的差异性是指现代性本质上是可选择现代性，现代性的时代性是指现代性具有与所表征时代相一致的绝对性。中国道路的哲学确立，在一定意义上就是对现代性两个基本特征的诠释，即可选择现代性奠定了中国道路的现代性前提，中国新现代性表征了中国道路的哲学逻辑。%Modernity is not an established static thing,it can have multiple connotations with selectable nature.Because modernity has selectivity,modernity has the legitimacy of existence and modernity can still be one of the philosophy prin-ciples of the contemporary social development.Selectable modernity is essentially a reality existence of dialectical develop-ment logic,which is presented in the difference of modernity and the times of modernity.The difference of modernity means essentially selectable modernity,the times of modernity means that modernity is consistent with the characteriza-tion of the modernity of the spirit of the age .The establishment of philosophy of Chinese Road in a certain sense is the in-terpretation of the two fundamental characteristics of modernity,that is,selectable modernity laid the foundation for the premise of modernity of Chinese Road ,and Chinese new modernity characterizes the philosophical logic of Chinese road.
