This study is based on the empirical results of the relationship between working memory,processing efficiency and reading comprehension of higher vocational college students.The findings of research are as follows: lexical semantic judgment and grammaticality judgment have significant positive correlations with reading comprehension.Vocabulary and grammatical structure play a vital role in developing the reading comprehension ability among vocational college students.This study,combined the situation of present EFL reading teaching,explores the methods of EFL reading teaching.%从工作记忆与高职学生英语阅读理解水平之间关系的调研结果出发,研究被试学生的工作记忆加工能力中的词汇语义判断、语法性判断与阅读理解成绩之间相关关系。结果表明,词汇和语法对于学生阅读理解能力的提高具有不可替代的基础性作用,结合目前高职英语的阅读教学现状,提出高职英语阅读针对性和可操作性的教学方法。
