关联理论视角下的中国汉语民歌歌词英译的研究——以《中国民歌选集》为主要范例

摘要

中国民歌是中国文化中重要的组成部分。中国是一个地域广阔多民族的国家，不同的地区、不同的民族拥有自己不同的地方文化，也就有了不同的音乐色彩，由此造就了中国民歌多姿多彩百花齐放的景象。中国的民歌文化可以追溯到西周初年到春秋时代的《诗经》，千百年来中国民歌代代传承并发扬光大，但是对于西方等国家而言，中国民歌却颇为陌生。与输入中国的西方民歌相比较，被世界其他国家认所熟知的中国民歌少之又少，这与中国文化大国的地位极为不相符。所以翻译和传播中国民歌对于弘扬中华文化有着重大的意义。但是受到语言、文化、地域环境以及社会经济等因素的影响，民歌歌词翻译有着一定的难度，本文旨在利用关联理论的指导研究中国民歌的翻译，通过对前人的相关研究的研习以及对一定量中国民歌歌词翻译的研究分析找出一些解决民歌翻译难点的办法，从而更好地传播中国民歌，发扬中华文化。
　　关联理论是Sperber和Wilson提出的，他们的学生Gutt在其基础上提出了关联翻译理论。关联理论认为交际是明示---推理的过程，而翻译也是一种交际活动，在此过程中也需要说话人足够的明示和听话者恰当相关的推理。而对民歌歌词的翻译恰恰可以遵循这一原理。
　　本文旨在试图为中国民歌中的汉族民歌歌词翻译找到一种新的可能的途径以便于中国民歌更好地传播。关联理论对翻译这一重要的文化交际活动有着重要的指导意义，本文试图用关联理论来对中国民歌歌词的翻译做分析探究，注重读者的接受与反应，让说话者的明示刺激更能迎合读者的期待，将中国民歌中的文化意图进行更好地传播。
　　本文首先对前人的相关研究做了一定阐述，接着对中国民歌的的定义以及特点、分类和作用进行了描述;继而介绍了关联理论，包括关联理论的定义、原则以及关联理论在翻译当中的运用，根据其在翻译活动中的运用也就是关联翻译理论作者对中国民歌歌词的翻译进行了较为详细的分析和对比，大多数的民歌选自《中国民歌选集》、《中国民歌》两本书，其翻译版本参照了一些与民歌翻译有关的论文以及英文爱好者在网络上发布的一些中国民歌的翻译，也有一些民歌的翻译来源于本文作者的自省。通过分析对比，作者发现根据关联理论进行民歌翻译更能帮助异国文化交流，因为关联理论注重说话人意图传达的同时也注重听话者的理解，所以在面对一些方言、文化负载词或者是衬词以及叠词的翻译时，根据关联理论的指导，与其硬生生将其直接翻译成英语不如将其翻译成在英语中能与之能对应的词语，而其中衬词的翻译则应取决于在原歌中衬词出现的具体位置而具体分析。这样不仅能避免听众对于歌词理解上的偏差，更使被翻译成英文的歌词对于目标听众更加亲切自然。
