翻译伦理视角下美国情景剧《摩登家庭》幽默字幕翻译研究

摘要

获得了多项艾美奖的美国情景喜剧《摩登家庭》，深受中国观众欢迎。《摩登家庭》讲述了一大家子的故事，剧中充满各种家庭矛盾，包括:老夫少妻矛盾，跨国婚姻矛盾，父母与青春期孩子矛盾，继父母与继子女矛盾等。在产生与解决矛盾的过程中，发生了诸多幽默诙谐的故事。在字幕翻译过程中，如何很好地翻译幽默，直接关系到观众的接受程度。
　　安德鲁·切斯特曼提出的翻译伦理包括再现伦理(ethics ofrepresentation)、服务伦理(ethics of service)、交际伦理(ethics ofcommunication)、规范伦理(norm-based ethics)以及承诺伦理(ethics ofcommitment)五大模式。各个伦理模式强调的核心价值有所不同，但同时又构成一个整体。
　　本文以切斯特曼的翻译伦理为理论指导，以国内著名字幕小组人人影视翻译的《摩登家庭》版本为语料，采用归纳，定性分析与案例分析相结合的研究方法，逐项参照翻译伦理五种模式对《摩登家庭》幽默字幕翻译进行具体剖析，以期拓宽翻译伦理的适用范围，同时为幽默字幕翻译研究开拓新的视角。
　　通过分析，可以发现，切斯特曼的翻译伦理可以很好地用来指导情景剧中的幽默字幕翻译，并为幽默字幕翻译的研究提供理论依据。从再现伦理视角分析，为了再现原文说话者的意图，保持文化特征，译者通常使用直译策略翻译普遍幽默;从服务伦理视角分析，为了降低理解难度，维持目的语观众的兴趣，维护委托人的利益，译者通常采用注释策略翻译情景剧中的双关语;从交际伦理视角分析，为了增强文化交流和互动，取得文化间的相互理解，译者通常采用替代策略翻译语言幽默和文化幽默;从规范伦理视角分析，为满足目的语观众的期待，达到译语文化的规范，译者通常采用直译和注释策略翻译涉及性的幽默;从承诺伦理视角分析，为保持专业度，译出最好的版本，译者通常采用模仿策略翻译临时制造的词语。在翻译伦理的指导下，译者能够在翻译过程中根据幽默的类型选择合适的翻译策略，减少文化和语言障碍，以达到有效传播幽默，促进文化交流的目的。作者希望本文能够为幽默字幕翻译提供一些借鉴和指导作用，促进字幕翻译的发展。
