This study aims at exploring how students might reveal their real voice through computer-mediated dialogue journal writing. College English majors in Taiwan taking a composition class were assigned to write dialogue journals online to communicate with the teacher. They were allowed to write whatever topics that interested them. Findings of the study showed that students wrote differently in writing traditional essays and in writing online dialogue journals. Students did reveal their real voice in writing dialogue journals. Finally, some limitations and recommendations for further study were presented.
