Introduction Chinese steamed breads are fermented wheat flour products that are cooked by steaming in a steamer.Chinese steamed breads have a rich history that they have been consumed more that 1,500 years.Main ingredients in Chinese steamed breads are wheat flour,yeast,and water.Sugar,fat,and other ingredients can be added into the formulation which is generally practiced in southern part of China.The formulation of the northern style Chinese steamed breads usually are not included sugar and fat.Because of their limited ingredients included in,the Chinese steamed breads are considered as a high carbohydrate-based food.
