1. Biomass as substitution of traditional petro-polymers: renewable and economic 2. Soy protein isolate (SPI) as a functional modifier to tune ferroelectric behaviors of polymer dielectric films (polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)) for advanced capacitor applications with desirable energy density and efficiency; 3. SPI based modifiers were prepared via controlled denaturation methods, including heat, sonication, chemicals; 4. The ferroelectric analysis showed that the energy density and energy efficiency of resulting dielectric films can be effectively improved by SPI modifiers to satisfy different capacitor applications.
