This paper aims at identifying important competencies on the pedagogical content knowledge of preservice teachers and experienced teachers specializing in the area of computer science in Germany. We based our study on the competencies model developed by the “Competences for Teaching Computer Science” (KUI) research group. In this paper, we will introduce the results of our first interview part, which measured these competencies. Moreover, we compared the pre-service teacher with the experienced teacher to investigate how their PCK differ from each other.
