    • 摘要: It is desirable to fabricate materials with adjustable physical properties that can be used in different industrial applications.Since the property of a material is highly dependent on its inner structure,the understanding of structure–property correlation is critical to the design of engineering materials.3D printing appears as a mature method to effectively produce micro-structured materials.In this work,we created different stainless-steel microstructures by adjusting the speed of 3D printing and studied the relationship between thermal property and printing speed.Our microstructure study demonstrates that highly porous structures appear at higher speeds,and there is a nearly linear relationship between porosity and printing speed.The thermal conductivity of samples fabricated by different printing speeds is characterized.Then,the correlation between porosity,thermal conductivity,and scanning speed is established.Based on this correlation,the thermal conductivity of a sample can be predicted from its printing speed.We fabricated a new sample at a different speed,and the thermal conductivity measurement agrees well with the value predicted from the correlation.To explore thermal transport physics,the effects of pore structure and temperature on the thermal performance of the printed block are also studied.Our work demonstrates that the combination of the 3D printing technique and the printing speed control can regulate the thermophysical properties of materials.

    • 摘要: Purpose–This study aims to analyze the development direction of train speed,density and weight in China.Design/methodology/approach–The development of China’s railway in the past 40 years can be divided into 3 stages.At the stage of potential tapping and capacity expansion,it is important to improve the train weight and density by upgrading the existing lines,and improving transportation capacity rapidly.At the stage of railway speed increase,the first priority is to increase train speed,reduce the travel time of passenger train,and synchronously take into account the increase of train density and weight.At the stage of developing high-speed railway,train speed,density and weight are co-developing on demand.Findings–The train speed of high-speed railway will be 400 km h1,the interval time of train tracking will be 3 min,and the traffic density will be more than 190 pairs per day.The running speed of high-speed freight EMU will reach 200 km h1 and above.The maximum speed of passenger train on mixed passenger and freight railway can reach 200 km h1.The minimum interval time of train tracking can be compressed to 5 min.The freight train weight of 850 m series arrival-departure track railway can be increased to 4,500–5,000 t and that of 1,050 m series to 5,500–6,400 t.EMU trains should gradually replace ordinary passenger trains to improve the quality of railway passenger service.Small formation trains will operate more in intercity railway,suburban railway and short-distance passenger transportation.Originality/value–The research can provide new connotations and requirements of railway train speed,density and weight in the new railway stage.

    • 摘要: Aligning billions of reads generated by the next-generation sequencing(NGS)to reference sequences,termed“mapping”,is the time-consuming and computationally-intensive process in most NGS applications.A Fast,accurate and robust mapping algorithm is highly needed.Therefore,we developed the FANSe3 mapping algorithm,which can map a 30×human wholegenome sequencing(WGS)dataset within 30 min,a 50×human whole exome sequencing(WES)dataset within 30 s,and a typical mRNA-seq dataset within seconds in a single-server node without the need for any hardware acceleration feature.Like its predecessor FANSe2,the error rate of FANSe3 can be kept as low as 10-9 in most cases,this is more robust than the Burrows-Wheeler transform-based algorithms.Error allowance hardly affected the identification of a driver somatic mutation in clinically relevant WGS data and provided robust gene expression profiles regardless of the parameter settings and sequencer used.The novel algorithm,designed for high-performance cloud-computing after infrastructures,will break the bottleneck of speed and accuracy in NGS data analysis and promote NGS applications in various fields.The FANSe3 algorithm can be downloaded from the website:http://www.chi-biote ch.com/fanse 3/.
