To provide a flavor for chinese noodles that can give the brine smell unique to Chinese noodles, particularly a sulfur smell-like brine smell, with high durability against processing such as heating and drying in the production of chinese noodles, and provide Chinese noodles with the sulfur smell-like brine smell given thereto and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: In the present invention, use of 3-methyl-2-butanethiol makes it possible to provide a flavor for chinese noodles that can give the brine smell unique to Chinese noodles, particularly a sulfur smell-like brine smell, with high durability against processing such as heating and drying in the production of chinese noodles. There are further provided Chinese noodles with the sulfur smell-like brine smell given thereto and a method of producing the same.SELECTED DRAWING: None
