Volumetric dough divider for bread making - combined with handling-up belts and flour duster in single transportable unit

A volumetric dough divider for bread making is claimed in which dough is fed alternately into each of two pockets while a dough piece is being discharged from the other pocket, the two pockets being set alongside each other on a reciprocating assembly which aligns each pocket in turn with the discharge orifice at the bottom of a dough hopper. Dough pieces discharged from the pockets fall into a V-trough formed by two conveyor belts running at different speeds which hand-up each piece into a ball and deliver, it from the machine; the bottom of the V-trough part has a longitudinal dead-plate spacing the conveyors slightly to prevent the formation of points on the balls. Each ball is pref. powdered with flour just as it leaves the machine. Used for dividing and handing-up bakers' dough for making bread loaves. Dividing and handing up devices are combined in a single machine which is factors - constructed as a transportable unit requiring only positioning and electric wiring. The unit is very compact, the hopper is at a convenient loading height and there is a minimum of friction between dough and moving parts.
