The optical gear gives a picture in relief of two associated images (I1,I2). These are superimposed and remote from the observer. It has a casing inside which are two parallel reflecting surfaces (1,2). These send one (I1) of the images to one (OD) observer eye. Another pair of parallel reflectors (3,4) send the other image (I2) towards the other eye (OG). Both reflector pairs have an inlet surface (1 or 4) and an outlet one (2 or 3). The entry surfaces are one above the other with centres spaced vertically at a predetermined distance. The outlet surfaces are also displaced.
