The invention relates to the railway vehicles industry. The axle boxes 20 are connected to the chassis 2, 4 of the bogie by a horizontal primary link including a connecting rod 18 hitched to the longeron 2 of the chassis by an elastic ball joint 14. At least one of the four elastic ball joints 14 is carried by a carriage 36 sliding longitudinally over the longeron 2. The sliding movements of the carriage are controlled by a linkage 22, 24, 26, 30 having its input member 22 secured to the body of the vehicle, or by a damper interposed between the carriage and the longeron.
